Confidentiality Policyconfidentiality

All information about patients is confidential. We are unable to release information about your medical conditions, registration or attendance details at surgery to a third party without your written consent.

Patient Access to Records:

Your records are the property of NHS England. All patients, including competent young people do, however, have a right of access to any held by us. There is sometimes a small access and / or copying fee. If you require access to your records please write to the Practice Director who will arrange for you to read them with somebody on call to assist.

Requests for copies of your complete notes or individual documents, should also be submitted in writing. Please be aware that we have the duty / right to withhold certain information which might be detrimental to yourself or others in accordance with very detailed BMA medical ethical guidelines. This is, however, a rare occurrence.
