Travelling Overseas?
What you need to know before you go.
Travel Vaccination Service.
Start preparing for your trip at least six weeks before you go.
As a Surgery we provide NHS travel vaccinations ONLY. Please be aware that all patients included in the travelling party will require an individual consultation.
For private vaccines you will be asked to consult with a specialised private travel vaccination clinic and we can advise on local clinics.
A majority of the requested vaccines have to be pre-ordered in advance, which is why we ask you to prepare at least six weeks before you go. This gives us time to order the required vaccines, organise a 2nd appointment with you to receive the vaccines, and then some extra time for the vaccine to work. Your second appointment to receive the vaccine needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel.
Please note, we can only administer vaccines that are advised by our nursing team. This will all be discussed in your appointment, as the team will need to discuss your travel arrangements including which countries and areas within those countries that you plan on travelling to.
Please complete the questionnaire below and hand in to reception.
